System 280 – Management Overview

The Swim Training System 280 is deployed and stored at the Coach’s Station for centralized control and easy access.
Cart System Usage
The mobile cart is designed to be rolled to the designated deckside training location for each session. After use, it should be returned and stored away from the pool area to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
System Setup and Handling Procedures
To ensure safe and efficient use of the Swim Training System 280, follow these operational guidelines:
Transporting the Cart
- Move the cart to the designated deckside training location.
- Confirm that the cart is stable and securely positioned before beginning the session.
🎥 Using the System
- At the training site, set up the camera, harness, and drivelines according to your session requirements.
- Verify all connections and placements before initiating any exercises.
🧳 Post-Session Storage
- After training, carefully return the cart to its storage area, away from the pool deck.
- Proper storage helps prevent equipment damage and minimizes safety risks.
CAUTION: Blocks are HEAVY. The system is 12v DC Battery operated.
CAUTION: Battery is HEAVY.
Winder Reels: Lane, Camera, and Drive Lines

Lane Cable Setup and Winding Procedure
Proper handling of lane cables ensures smooth operation and extends the life of your equipment. Follow these steps for safe and efficient use:
🔗 Securing the Cable
- Attach one end of each lane line to the reel using the provided carabiner spring clips.
- Use the hand crank to slowly wind or unwind the cable onto the reel.
🔄 Winding Method
- While winding, walk toward the opposite end of the cable to guide it evenly.
- Important: Do not pull on the lane cables—this can cause damage or misalignment.
- Once fully wound, secure the opposite end of the cable to the reel housing using the carabiner spring clips.

Driveline Cable Setup and Winding Procedure
The Camera Trolley Transport System features a preset tensioning system for consistent performance. Proper connection and winding of the driveline cable are essential for safe and efficient operation.
⚙️ Connection Setup
- Attach the driveline cable to the camera trolley using the locking brass clips.
- Secure the opposite end to the turn-end block using the carabiner.
🔄 Winding Method
- Begin by disconnecting the driveline from the camera trolley.
- Walk to the turn-end block and detach the spring clip.
- Reattach the clip to the side port of the reel.
- While winding, walk slowly toward the opposite end of the driveline, guiding it evenly onto the reel.
- Important: Do not pull on the driveline. Instead, walk the reel to the end to avoid strain or damage.

Lane Caution Control Cones
To ensure safety and signal exclusive use of the underwater video system, follow these lane caution protocols:
- Cone Placement Place bright orange caution cones at the four perimeter points of the designated video technique training lane.
- Required for Operation Lane caution cones are mandatory during system use. They clearly indicate that the lane is reserved for underwater video training and should not be entered by other swimmers.
- End-of-Day Procedure After each training session and at the end of the day:
- Remove the Swim Stroke Doctor system from the pool.
- Rinse all cameras thoroughly with fresh water.
- Store all components securely until the next use.
